Bormes-les-Mimosas and Estagnol beach
Here's a slightly more distant excursion from Jasmins Studio, but it definitely deserves a day.
It combines two very different worlds: Bormes-les-Mimosas, a village in the Var region renowned for its flowers and mimosa, then Estagnol beach, one of the beautiful natural beaches in this area of the Var coastline.
Bormes-les-Mimosas
The village of Bormes-les-Mimosas That alone is worth the trip.
Settle into the narrow streets of the old village and take the time to discover the houses, the small squares, the staircases and the flowers.
In winter, the mimosa obviously brings a special color to the village and its surroundings.
Bormes also constitutes the official starting point of the Mimosa Route, which connects to Grasse through the Var and Alpes-Maritimes.

Estagnol Beach
After the village, head towards the sea.
Estagnol Beach is located in a magnificent Mediterranean cove.
Its clear water and natural surroundings make it a particularly pleasant destination for a day at the beach.
But Estagnol is not just for sunbathers.
The coastal path
Walkers can reach Estagnol on foot from the Argentière beach.
The coastal path represents approximately 5 kilometers.
Along the way, one's gaze falls particularly on... Porquerolles and the Giens peninsula.
This is an excellent way to approach this part of the coastline.
Bring good shoes, water, and sun protection..
What to do in Estagnol?
Once there, several options are available:
- bathing,
- mask and snorkel,
- pedalo,
- ride,
- picnic,
- discovery of the natural environment.
I also note the presence of a educational farm, including chickens, goats, horses and ducks, as well as activities for children.
Two restaurants also offer the option of having lunch on site, particularly featuring fish and bouillabaisse.

An excursion to combine with the Mimosa Route
Bormes-les-Mimosas constitutes the starting point of the Mimosa Route.
You can therefore consider this excursion in two ways:
- in summer: Bormes + Estagnol + coastline;
- in winter: Bormes + mimosa + possibly part of the Mimosa Route.
