Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Passable Beach
Between Nice and Monaco, the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat offers a different image of the French Riviera.

Here, the Belle Époque villas, gardens, pine trees and small coves make up a landscape that is much more preserved than that of the large seaside resorts.
And among the places I particularly recommend is the Passable beach.
Passable Beach
This small cove is located on the west side of the peninsula, facing the Villefranche Bay.
It has a small beach of sand and pebbles and calm, clear waters.
The site is particularly pleasant for:
- to swim,
- go snorkeling,
- to peacefully enjoy the Mediterranean,
- admire the bay of Villefranche.
The beach is also lined with beautiful Belle Époque villas.

A beach steeped in history
Passable Beach was formerly called Letetia beach.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it was frequented by guests of the Grand Hôtel du Cap Ferrat who came to "take the waters".
This story partly explains the unique atmosphere of the place.
Today, part of the beach is public and another part is operated by the beach club.
An ideal stopover with Villefranche-sur-Mer

Passable's position makes it easy to combine several discoveries.
You can start by: Villefranche-sur-Mer
then join: Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
and conclude with: Passable Beach.
The view over the bay of Villefranche is precisely one of the great attractions of this small beach.
The coastal path
Passable is also found on the coastal path that goes around the peninsula.
It's an excellent way to discover Cap-Ferrat.
Rather than staying solely on the beach, I therefore advise walkers to plan a stroll along the coastline.
The landscapes are constantly changing: villas, pine trees, rocks, small coves and the Mediterranean.

The peninsula also has other small beaches and coves.
I will mention in particular:
- Fosses Beach,
- Fosses beach.
Passable, however, remains particularly interesting for its view of Villefranche.
